Ushi Mart Holiday Market Updates

Ushi Mart Holiday Market Updates

We’ve got exciting new vendors involved, exclusive Holiday Market promos to announce and lots of fun live videos with artists all on our social media. You don't want to miss what’s coming up this week!

The Ushi Mart Holiday Market is in full swing since opening its doors on November 28th and we are overjoyed by the support we’ve received from local businesses, our customers, and the city of Hamilton. Since then we’ve had…

- Over 40 local Hamilton vendors joining us

- Was featured in the Hamilton Spectator and CFMU Radio.

- Over $400 dollars raised to Wesley Urban Ministries, thanks to 100% of our ticket sale proceeds.

- And we sold out the entire last weekend!

We’ve only got one more weekend until Christmas now, and if you haven’t visited yet, now is the time to book your holiday shopping experience. Here are some exciting updates about what’s been added to the market since opening.

1. Join us for Instagram Lives

Even with over 40+ vendors we want to make sure you’re getting an in-depth look at our market items. Instagram Lives go on everyday to give you the chance to see what’s available at the shop.

Over the next few weeks, you will get the chance to see some of the artists and artisans behind our awesome collection of gift ideas.

Coming up December 18, 5:30PM EST, Monika from Church 444 will be hosting a guided meditation session online. Tune in and zen out while seeing Ushi Mart in all it’s festive glory.

Keep up-to-date on when our Lives will be by following our Instagram stories and highlights at @ushi_mart.

3. Support Black youth with Oldowan and Ushi Holiday Market

Oldowan Skateboard Collective was born with the intention to support Black youth in finding community and safe space through skating/riding and mentorship. This is made possible through the Oldowan clothing brand where 50% of the profits go towards sponsoring Black youth to skate. In the past six months Oldowan has been able to sponsor 6 youth in communities across Ontario to skate/ride.

The makers behind Ushi Holiday Market would like to help Oldowan gain enough funding to be able to sponsor another youth this Christmas. That’s why we’ve made a table at the market where 100% of the proceeds go towards Oldowan Skateboard Collective. Vendors such as Thrifty Designer, Kanga Climbing, Cassandra Woodwork, Designs by Mallory, Monster Face, Alyssum Asylum, Stacy Camp, L.A. West, Broken Grown-Up Vintage, Church 444, and Demontingy Boutique Gallery have donated items off their shelves to our table in order to help.

Buy anything off that table and know 100% of it will be going towards Black Youth sponsorship. It’s a win-win :) .

4. We Revamped Our Space

Out with the old, in with the new. Come check out the revamped Ushi Holiday Market, with brand new merchandise, new holiday decor and new art hanging on the walls! It’s a whole new Ushi and worth coming back to see what new items we have to surprise you with.
