DOILIES - HANDMADE - ALL CONSUMING

Each textile garment, from androgynous utility wear to statement formal, has been loved
and skillfully imagined through the mind and hands of surface dweller and lover, ASHES
Bullock. Found doilies, salvaged denim, artists’ drop cloths and up-cycled clothing act
as modified bases for this collection. ASHES then elevates the dozen outfits to art and
grounds them to Earth through embroidery, hand-stitching and custom dying in shades
of blue, lilac and magnolia. In creating one-of-a-kind pieces to live in, ASHES honours

the time spent in “craft.”
